Maxi-Cosi Citi SPS car seats may have defective restraint buckles.


Recall Issue

Maxi-Cosi is recalling some of their Maxi-Cosi Citi SPS car seats because of a potential defect with the restraint buckle.

Sabelt has supplied a buckle, used in various car child transport systems, that may be defective. This defect could lead to a reduction in restraint capacity in the event of an accident.

Some Maxi-Cosi Citi SPS car seats have this buckle fitted.


Maxi-Cosi Citi SPS Car Seats Affected By This Recall

This recall only affects Maxi-Cosi Citi SPS car seats produced between June 2012 and June 2013. You can identify if your car seat is affected by checking the label on the bottom of the car seat (shown below) and reading the number highlighted, in this case 1613.
